Review ›How it works
Short version: we could not find a $1 minimum deposit casino among the 19 brands we review. Not one of them lets you send C$1 by Interac, card or e-wallet and start playing. We checked each cashier table we had access to and every review source in our notes.
So this page does something slightly unusual for a page with this title. It explains where the one-dollar idea comes from, runs the numbers on how those offers tend to work, and shows you the cheapest doors that do exist here.
Not one of our 19 casinos takes C$1
The floor on this site sits at C$5, and only at BC.Game, where CasinoCanada lists Interac e-Transfer from that amount (Covers disputes BC.Game's Interac support altogether). AstroPay at BC.Game starts at C$2. Almost everyone else starts Interac at C$10, and a few demand C$20 or C$30.
Two figures in our data look like one-dollar deposits but are not quite. National Casino's crypto minimum works out to about C$1.50. And CasinoCanada's table shows cards and Paysafecard at National from C$2, which we believe is a data error. Neither counts as a dollar.
Spinmama, Sol and Rich Royal go the other way, with minimums of C$20 or about €20. Across the whole list, the most common Interac floor is C$10, which matches what Canadian casinos generally charge for an e-Transfer deposit: somewhere between C$10 and C$20.
Where the one-dollar offers come from
If you have seen "deposit $1, get spins" advertised in Canada, it most likely came from a loyalty network of the Casino Rewards type. Those groups have run one-dollar spin promotions for years, usually as the first step in a ladder of bigger deposit bonuses that follow.
We do not cover those casinos on this site. Not because the offers are fake, but because we have not tested them with our own money, and we only list brands we have. Treat any C$1 claim the way you would treat a used car with very low mileage: possible, but check the paperwork.
Provincial sites are a separate world. Ontario has run its own regulated market since 2022, and Alberta opened one on 13 July 2026. Their licensed operators set their own minimums, and offshore brands like the ones on this site should not accept players from either province at all.
The other source is crypto. Some casinos accept deposits worth a dollar or less in coins. Technically that is a one-dollar deposit. In practice the network fee and the exchange spread on a purchase that small can cost as much as the deposit.

What 200x wagering does to a one-dollar offer
One-dollar spin offers tend to share a shape: a small number of free spins for the dollar, and a wagering requirement on the spin winnings that runs very high, 200x being a figure you will often see. Here is that shape with invented but typical numbers. It is not any specific casino's offer.
| Step | Amount |
|---|---|
| Your deposit | C$1 |
| Free spins received | 40 at C$0.25 each (C$10 of spins) |
| Expected winnings at 96% return | About C$9.60 |
| Wagering at 200x on those winnings | C$1,920 of bets |
| Expected cost of C$1,920 of bets at 4% house edge | About C$76.80 |
Read the last two rows together. To turn roughly C$9.60 of bonus winnings into cash, you would need to place almost two thousand dollars of bets, and those bets are expected to cost eight times what you started with. The balance usually runs out long before the wagering does.
Somebody does clear these offers now and then. A lucky early hit on a volatile slot can carry a balance through. But on average, the C$1 buys you forty spins and the experience of a casino's lobby. Many such offers also cap what you can withdraw from spin winnings, which trims the lucky case too.
For scale, compare the requirement with a normal welcome on this site. At RoboCat, a C$30 first deposit earns a 100% match, and 35x on deposit plus bonus comes to C$2,100 of bets. That is about the same mountain as the C$1 offer above, except the player starts with C$60 to climb it instead of a handful of spin winnings. The multiplier on a one-dollar offer looks bigger because it has to be: it is applied to a much smaller pile.
That is fine, as long as you see it as a ticket price rather than an investment.
The closest you can get on this site
If the goal is the smallest possible amount at a casino we have looked at, these are the realistic options, from the cheapest up.
- National Casino: 15 free spins on Mechanical Clover with no deposit at all, then Interac from C$10.
- BC.Game: AstroPay from C$2, Interac e-Transfer from C$5 if your cashier shows it, and a welcome bonus that already applies at C$5.
- Nomini: Interac from C$10, and the Watermelon welcome pays one free spin per C$1.50 deposited, so about six spins on C$10. The Watermelon minimum is not published; ask before you pick it.
- RoboCat: Interac C$10 in and C$10 out, no bonus at that amount, payouts on business days.
Notice what is happening on that list. The cheapest option is zero dollars, and it beats any one-dollar offer we have seen described, because National's spins cost nothing to try.
Nomini comes with a warning. AskGamblers logged several complaints in 2026 about withdrawals pending a week or more, and its operator and licence details differ between sources. RoboCat's PAGCOR licence is also unusual for a site serving Canada.
Why a dollar and fifty cents keeps showing up
You may have noticed C$1.50 twice: National's crypto minimum and Nomini's price per Watermelon spin. It is a coincidence, but a useful one. It tells you roughly what a casino thinks a single unit of play is worth. Below that, the paperwork costs more than the business.
It also tells you that C$1 offers, wherever they exist, are a marketing expense. The casino expects to lose money on your first dollar and earn it back on your next deposit. Knowing that, the smart play is to take the cheap entry and then decide calmly, not on the momentum of a lucky spin, whether a second deposit makes sense.
Eight casinos, one rulebook
Part of the reason the floor here is so uniform is that many of these brands share a back office. Eight of them (Lanista, Winbay, RoboCat, Kingmaker, Spinanga, Wyns, Nomini and Wazamba) are really one promotions calendar wearing different logos. Same claw-machine pick once you reach C$15, same weekend reload topping out at C$1,050, same quarter-back on live losses to C$300, and the same C$10 Interac floor.
So when one of them decides against a C$1 deposit, it is effectively eight sites saying no. If you already have an account at one, the others will feel familiar and the promotions overlap. Keep that in mind before you sign up at three of them hoping for different terms.
What we would do with a one-dollar budget
Blunt answer: not deposit it. Claim National's 15 no-deposit spins, play them, and see whether you like the site. If you do, the next step up is a C$5 or C$10 deposit at a casino where the withdrawal minimum is low enough to get small wins back out.
Our C$5 page covers the only place on this site that takes five dollars, and the C$10 guide ranks the rest by what ten dollars actually gets you. For a feel of how far small stakes stretch, the penny slots page does the arithmetic per spin.
Whatever you choose, set a deposit limit in your account before the first payment. A tiny first deposit is easy; the fourth and fifth ones that follow a near miss are where small budgets quietly turn into big ones.
And if a site promises you C$1 deposits from Ontario or Alberta, close the tab.
FAQ
None of the 19 casinos we review takes C$1. Offers of that kind exist mainly at Casino Rewards-type networks, which we have not tested and do not list.
C$5 at BC.Game by Interac e-Transfer, per CasinoCanada, or C$2 by AstroPay. Covers disputes BC.Game's Interac support, so check the cashier.
Not necessarily. They are a marketing cost for the casino. The catch is usually very high wagering on spin winnings, often around 200x, plus a cap on what you can withdraw.
Some casinos accept amounts that small in coins; National Casino's crypto minimum is about C$1.50. Exchange and network fees can cost as much as the deposit itself.
